Be sure to use the correct label for that drive.

Yeah, I read the instructions. A bit too much like actual work for me.
You can use the isodumper package (version 0.40 and over) to do that easily, it is in the Mageia repositories since Mageia 5 and in Mageia 4/core/updates repositories. If you haven't it see: Preparation of an USB stick.

I don't think that you've read the instructions carefully:

Is it really hard to using a gui tool to dump the contents to usb stick? Browsing the iso image, selecting the right correct label from the list and checking few boxes and clicking on the next button shouldn' t be so much work.

Seems you did not read his previous reply. He is using Debian, and hence isodumper is not in his repositories.

Format your USB stick as FAT32 (probably easy for you)
Label it "MGALIVE"
Copy the contents of the ISO to the key (in Dolphin, I right click the ISO, extract it, then copy that).
Done.

Would be a good time to refresh them with Mageia - that is if it works OK for you, no?

I read the instructions. Like I said, that's more steps than I feel like following. My testing of distros consists of 3 steps.
1. Insert USB
2. dd if=xx of=xx
3. boot from USB
Return to Testing : Alpha, Beta, RC and Cauldron
