Because as I stated in prior posts, all the other distros, once you say iinstall and put in root password, it installs. I never actually to go all out root to install before, in fact I had been informed not to do so. To always install as user and enter root password when needed.
Because it is simply not the same "install remove program". It's a commandline tool intended for the administrator only,
so this is the same as with other distros. Also no need to create a new menu entry for a root terminal, simply run su - to switch to root.
