Downloaded sample documents from microsoft website. Installed Okular, needed to execute command
- Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
in order to get Okular to open xps files. It said something like 'no plugins' rubbish before.
Downloaded and installed libgxps from Gnome website
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/libgxps/0.1/, but my version of Evince still could not open xps. I would probably need to install newer version of Evince to get it to work, but don't want to start messing with Evince. Perhaps if all else fails, you may want to try downloading a newer version of Evince
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/evince/Failing that, you may want to try
http://www.xps2pdf.org/it worked better than Okular did.
Is it possible that your files are DRM encumbered? Apparently Okular can't deal with DRM. Would it be possible to get a hold of one of your xps files Max?
