disable docking

Postby sweptr » Oct 17th, '11, 14:37

Hi, I just installed mageia as a second try.
I did a first try at the beginning of this summer, and I was really impressed - but I felt that it needed some more time before I would like to test it again.

Now I Like how it is.
Just one question.

I have applications dock at the top menu bar (gnome-panel) by default.
How do I deattach them from gnome-panel, or even better- how do I turn off that "feature".?
Sorry - but I really hate it.

I had a similar problem on another distro - OpenSuse, and there I could fix it with installing compiz-workarounds.
http://wiki.compiz.org/Plugins/Workarounds

I have read in the threads here that other have problems with maximzing windows. missing menues etcetera. Problay adding
compiz-workarounds would fix it.

I suggest that compiz-workarounds should be put in the repos.
Also I suggest adding this at default installed in the next release..

Could you please do a package request for that? https://bugs.mageia.org/enter_bug.cgi?p ... mat=guided
As Component please select "New RPM package request".
