[Solved] Plasma widgets that show sensor data do not work

Postby wildlynx » Jun 24th, '24, 15:07

Hi!
Upgraded from Mageia 8 x64 to 9.
Used toolbar widget that was telling me for some time that support is ended. No errors.

After reboot, all the widgets that show things like CPU load, temperature, etc were blank.
Turns out, those widgets cannot even get a list of available sensors.
Command "sensors" shows some data in terminal.

Any tips how to solve this problem?

Many old widgets were based on ksysguard, which was deprecated upstream, see e.g. https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32191

Please check if you have the plasma-systemmonitor package installed, if not please install it.
You probably also need to remove all your widgets and readd them as current widgets.
