[SOLVED] It is possible have kernel 6.8 on Mageia 9?

Postby jlalarcon » Mar 19th, '24, 18:52

Hi.

I´d like to have a try to the last kernel, 6.8.x. Is there any way of installing it in our distro through packages?. I know already that is available the "eternal" compiling source code way: menuconfig, make, install... I am asking about rpm packages.

Thank you very much, in advance.

Regards.

AFAIK, no later than 6.6 is planned for mga9
I guess it may show up as backport though if Cauldron gets it and there is interest and packager have the time.
If you want to help out QA testing, 6.6.22 is in updates_testing, bug 32985.
And if you want to help packaging that is also much welcome of course ;)
