I'm getting similar errors when running plasma-discover in konsole. I first noticed Discover didn't open so I ran it from a konsole.

Code: Select all
$ plasma-discover
adding empty sources model QStandardItemModel(0x22a74f0)

(process:676941): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 17:51:17.019: Settings schema 'org.gnome.system.proxy' is not installed
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

My wife's computer is running a clean install of Mageia 9 (Cauldron) and mine was upgraded from M8. Her's doesn't have these errors.

Here's more info from my testing.
https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14869

I have been trying to fix it or at least gather more info to be more specific on a bug report.
As you'll see in the link above I get errors when installing "gsettings-desktop-schemas".
I believe these are related to your issues.

Hey neighbor! I'm near Joplin and I see you're near Big Cabin. We're likely taking a summer trip down that way.

I've been working on this for a week off and on. I had to figure out my wife's video card which I did at night.
She doesn't like getting bumped off of her computer. :?

I'm guessing it's as simple as a missing dependency or something.
If you look at my other post it says org.gnome.system.proxy is being ignored. I found that by reinstalling the package that all of those org.gnome files come from. I think it compiles them at install and that is what spits the errors and tells you it'll ignore them.

My wife's is a clean install and she doesn't have this problem, but mine was an upgrade from M7>M8 then M9.
Was yours a clean install? If so maybe it's a bad package somewhere. If you upgraded maybe it's a leftover configuration file.
I installed Plasma 5.27 from the upgrades-testing repo last night with high hopes it'd fix it (the core-release repo has Plasma 5.26.90).
The good news is it didn't break anything else but it didn't fix this either. My problem may not be related to denis' problem but I believe it is.
Something is broken or mis-configured in our systems but not my wife's. I didn't check gaim etc on her's.

This is what fixed mine except I think you can do all of the file names on one line. I did them one at a time as I tracked them down.

It's a mis-match between Glib2.0 file versions. Some are 2.74 while others are 2.75. In fact, 2.75 has disappeared from the repos.

Code: Select all
urpmi --downgrade --media "Core Release" glib2.0-common-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64 lib64glib2.0_0-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64 glib-gettextize-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64 lib64gio2.0_0-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64 lib64glib2.0-devel-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64

I can't do it again and some commands are funny. if you have to do it individually, it goes like this. Just change the file name.
The urpmi --downgrade --media "Core Release" must remain there.

Code: Select all
urpmi --downgrade --media "Core Release" glib2.0-common-2.74.5-3.mga9.x86_64

The other file names are:

Code: Select all
lib64glib2.0_0-2.74.5-3.mga9
glib-gettextize-2.74.5-3.mga9
lib64gio2.0_0-2.74.5-3.mga9
lib64glib2.0-devel-2.74.5-3.mga9

we live near Foyil. Actually Bushyhead but its not much of a town anymore. If you get the chance, stop by. we've got 20 acres out in the country.
