Some details would be appreciated. What file manager do you use, what desktop environment ? And what fonts do you have installed ?

Doktor5000

System information:
Mageia 8, dual boot Mageia & Windows, Dual screen, SSD.

File manager in use: Nemo. (After the upgrade, Nemo replaced the previously default file manager. I dod not know which one was in use but file names were fine).

Desktop environment : Cinnamon.

What fonts do you have installed ?: I did not install any font over what I have had in Mageia 7.. But, the corrupted file names are in Hebrew.

[The simple solution for me will be to have either "Files" or "Dolphin" as the default manager, next to Mageia icon at the far left corner of the taskbar).

Thank you
JJF
