[FIXED] Mageia Update : BAD RPMs

You can choose an other specific mirror near your location. There are two ways:
Via command line https://wiki.mageia.org/en/URPMI#Adding_media_for_a_distribution.
Or the graphical way: https://doc.mageia.org/mcc/7/en/content/software-management.html#d4e273 -> "File" -> "Add a specific media mirror". Don't use the button on the right side "Add" because there you can't chose a specific mirror and it will add again the nearest/fastest mirror from mirrorlist (which seems to be mageia.org for you atm).

Before you do this check if the mirror you want is up to date https://mirrors.mageia.org/status.

Or you wait some hours and also the mageia.org mirror should be up to date again. Sometimes it happens that some mirrors have a small hickup whilst syncing.

Thx. Eventually persuaded it to pick one that works. Shame its a flaky process, and doesn't guide the user to go back and reselect mirrors, which is what the basic problem is.
