Sorry for disturbing the busy community, but I need a bit of help, please!

I had the same problem. Never found a workaround. I finally did a new install of Mageia. Just don't format /home.

I'm not sure the bug report information is absolutely correct but I already submited it.
Please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere.
Sorry for the delay but I just completed my fresh Mageia installation...
Thanks for helping anyway and good luck in your beginning!
I hope to see Mageia the most widespreaded distribution one day!

Hello

I have the exact same problem. At the beginning of the summer I migrated another computer without problems but today I've tried to upgrade my main computer and I have this issue. I suppose I won't reboot the system to avoid more problems. I hope I won't need to install from DVD,

Best Regards

At the point where the update throws out this error, could someone affected please run
Code: Select all
urpmi --auto-update --debug 2>&1 | tee debug.log
and then post the contents of the file debug.log here?
I've had a short look at the issue, but i don't get where the problem is, as python-numpy and pygtk2.0 are both available in core_release repo,
the same for perl-base.

The only thing i could imagine is that you had backports enabled for Mandriva 2010.2 and python-numpy installed from backports, as that version would be newer than what Mageia currently has.

Finally last night I removed the python-numpy and the pygtk2.10 packages and the installation worked smoothly and now I am using a brith mageia distribution, but I won't be able to help you with the log.

No, you're right, all of those are spam and all have been reported already.
Now we can only wait till some moderator comes along and deletes the user :(

If I remember correctly from mandrivauser.de a post which has been reported shows an exclamation mark in the list of new posts - which would show other users that somebody already saw and reported it to the REA¹. But I don't know where this can be set or whether it is a feature of the different theme we are using there.

Here you only see that sign if you have the rights of a global moderator, or if you click on the report button :(

Ok, could be that it is the same at MU.de and we both see it just because we are admins :)

I see in every post a button with an exclamtion mark(left of quote button) to report a post.

 Oh, i see, I missunderstood. You meant the sign if a post is already reported.
for windows problems reboot; for linux problems be root

I think I found the cause : some packages, including python-numpy, have been updated in Mandriva 2010.2, and now Mageia 1 has a lower version than Mandriva 2010.2. This can cause an upgrade failure !

We'll try to have that fixed as soon as possible.

I hung up with "missing" items for the upgrade from Mandriva 2010.2. Now my boot to 2010.2 is slow and I cannot shut down without the use of the power button.
Any simple way to fix this or will I have to reinstall Mandriva?

What do you mean by "missing items" and "hung up"? Could you please post the exact output here?

I don't know any way to copy the output; but I'll retry the updgrade and see if I can copy each of the errors, there are plenty.

You mean copy the output which you get on the command line with no graphical environment?
Then you can try something like
Code: Select all
urpmi --someoption --someotheroption 2>&1 | tee urpmi.log

This will show you the output, and in parallel write the output also to the file urpmi.log.
Should be easier to post the contents of that file here.

Here is the output when I try auto update. I'm not sure; but I think I'm partly mandriva and partly mageia?
Any way to get back to mandriva or compleate the upgrade?
