lsusb shows blank entry for the device

Hello,

O.S: Mageia 5

Problem: Device name doesn't appear with lsusb

Details:
I am connecting usb device (bladerf from nuand) and when I check lsusb , it appears blank.

lsusbBus 002 Device 002: ID 2cf0:5246 

From (usb-devices) I can see it correctly.

Troubleshooting done
I updated the two files usb.ids and pci.ids manually and rebooted but I still cannot see the device name from (lsusb)
2cf0 Nuand
5246 BladeRF
5250 BladeRF
I confirmed it from https://usb-ids.gowdy.us/read/UD/2cf0

Any hint will be appreciated

If usb-devices command shows it properly, why is this an issue ?

Also, for your edits to usb.ids and pci.ids, did you keep the intendation as mentioned in the header of those files? Can you show the output of

I have a lot of scripts using (lsusb) , its easier to fix the command than the entire scripts (I hope)

lsusb doesn't use /usr/share/usb.ids any more. The man page has recently been updated to reflect this:

but it seems the change was made a long time ago.
