Xtreme Download Manager [Solved]

Postby GersonLearchman » Sep 27th, '19, 19:42

Could you help me? I have tried all possible ways to integrate XDM in Firefox, Chromium and Otter browsers without succeeding, I install as root the file "install.sh" as it is in the instructions and although it appears in the application menu to run, it does not.
These are the download sites:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xdman/
https://subhra74.github.io/xdm/#downloads
https://mageia.pkgs.org/cauldron/mageia ... 4.rpm.html

The pkgs.org link you posted is for XDM, which means X Display Manager and has nothing to do with the download manager you're referring to.

If you launch Xtreme Download Manager from a terminal, what is the full output ?

Code: Select all
[gerson@localhost xdm-2018-x64]$ su -c ./install.sh
Contraseña:
Initializing setup...
Extracting files...
Unpacking  /opt/xdman/jre/lib/charsets.pack...
Unpacking  /opt/xdman/jre/lib/rt.pack...
Finishing installation...

You can start XDM from start menu, or type xdman in terminal as non root user
[gerson@localhost xdm-2018-x64]$ xdman
bash: xdman: no se encontró la orden
[gerson@localhost xdm-2018-x64]$

You may want to redownload, as the most important files have either not been unpacked or they are not present where they should be.

I downloaded the file again, unzipped it and as root I executed the command:
# sh install.sh
and now if it works in Firefox that's the one I'm using. I place as solved.
