Problem with ZTE AC682 CDMA

Hi.

I have ZTE AC682 CDMA. when I plug it to USB, my Mageia can't read it even as a USB storage. can anyone help?

sorry, mistake. it's read, but when I eject it, it not change, but gone.

After you ejected it, did you try in MCC to setup a new 3G connection?

I did. But I didn't find any modem connected to USB (no ttyUSB). Looks like problem with ehci-hcd module or anything.

Could you please unplug the modem, open a terminal as root and issue the following command:
Code: Select all
tailf /var/log/messages

then plugin the modem and post here the information that is output in the terminal after you plugged
the modem in.

It's not recognized properly/at all. Is it connected directly to your box, or via a hub?
Try plugging it directly into your computer, and maybe try a different usb port.

No, there is support. For all those modems, the usbserial module is used, no new kernel is needed.
Would you be so kind to answer my question? Have you tried out what i suggested?

I've tried all of my usb port and it all direct, but same report. is there any suggestion? any modification may be?

yes. I found many articles about this modem work on other distros (mostly ubuntu). here is an example http://bloglinux-patenpisan.blogspot.co ... ac682.html (bahasa Indonesia).

Can you recheck, that YOUR stick works properly on another computer or another OS and that it's not malfunctioning?

that must be configured as an Analog telephone modem (POTS) on ppp0.

have you tried it?
