Cmake ecm_install_icons

Postby mark9117 » Sep 27th, '17, 07:28

I can get Knotes installed, but I can't create notes. Attempting to create a new note produces this output when started from a terminal window:

Code: Select all
org.kde.pim.akonadicore: Got a stale notification for an item whose collection was already removed. 33 ""

That number on the right increments every time I try.

So, not being about to track down a cause/resolution for that, I am resorting to attempting to install knotes from source. I have downloaded the most recent version of Knotes from Git and am attempting to do something I haven't done in years - compile something from source.

Here's the trouble I'm running into: I am getting:

Code: Select all
CMake Error at icons/CMakeLists.txt:1 (ecm_install_icons):
  Unknown CMake command "ecm_install_icons".

I have installed extra-cmake-modules-5.32.0-2.mga6 but that doesn't seem to resolve it.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Thanks.
Let's just reboot everything all the time.

You may need a newer cmake version for that.
The best idea would probably to use the src.rpm from cauldron to at least install all BuildRequires (packages that you need to build this yourself) via urpmi, e.g. via
Code: Select all
urpmi --buildrequires http://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/os/linux/mageia/distrib/cauldron/SRPMS/core/release/knotes-17.08.0-1.mga7.src.rpm
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
