[SOLVED] Old HP NC6230 and touchpad

Postby bbuhlman » Aug 17th, '17, 01:51

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the cool distro! I was looking for a 32 bit active distro for an old laptop. I am running Mag 6 with the plasma desktop. The touchpad works for moving the mouse but wont do a left click. I have to use the left button below the touchpad. I am pretty sure that taping on the touchpad worked for a left click...any ideas? I didn't find any other driver to try in the control center, I am using Universal ->Any PS2 USB mice.

Thank you,
Bill

Hi,

If you open System Settings, scroll down to "Hardware" then open "Input Devices", under "Touchpad" there is an option "Mouse Click Emulation" which seems to be Off by default. checking the tick box fixed it for me.
Richard.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for your reply. Hardware is there but there is no "Input Devices". There is "Set up the pointer device" but there is nothing about a touchpad and I've looked through all the options and sub menus.
