changing desktop text color and shadows

Postby lloyd » Jun 26th, '17, 17:33

So I have Plasma 5.8.7 on Mageia 6 RC. Is there any way to change the color of the text under the desktop icons? Currently, it's white and I prefer the higher contrast of black. Also, there appears to be a shadow effect around the icon text. Is there any way to get rid of it?
Thank you!

Yes, it is possible:
Right click on the desktop > Configure desktop > icons

I tried that. It doesn't seem to be there. Attached is a screenshot.

You are right, I answered too fast from memory, it is changed.
I made some search, it turns out that it is no more possible, KDE wants to give more importance to the homogeneity of the general appearance.
You still can find a theme that matches your wishes.

I guess I can live with it. I just changed my background color a bit to make it a bit more readable.
