Bleachbit question

Postby dlocklear01 » Oct 31st, '16, 08:16

My Mageia 6 is working great surviving about 16 updates since early September installation.

Is there any reason I should run Bleachbit ?

Also, is there any reason to run ClamAV ?

there are some Linux virii "out there", but chances of meeting one are slim.

If you are sharing files from and to a windows machine, then the chance of picking up a windows virus skyrocket up.
Any such virii are unlikely to affect the Linux machine, but will be passed on with any files shared.

So yes, if you are sharing files with windows users, ClamAV is useful.
Be aware that there are likely to be false positives, as with all anti-virus software
