Disappearing text [Closed]

Hopefully, this is a simple issue, but one I've been unable to find a solution of. In Firefox, on right clicking over an object, say with the intention of saving it, or bookmarking it, or such, hovering over an option causes it to disappear. Not physically since all the other options are in the clear. I can see how this is being done, the font colour is simply being temporarily set to that of the background. This is a recent effect, and certainly not one that I have intentionally, or otherwise selected. Rather suspiciously, it came into effect immediately after carrying out a software update. It would seem to be something for System Settings>Desktop Options. but which one?

What object? A link or text on a webpage? Hovering over what option, and what does disappear? The object or the selection in the context menu?

Could you provide a screenshot so others know what you are referring to?

Try Systensettings->application appearance->colours, tab colours.
Maybe 'selection text' is the entry you need.

Doktor, As far as I can ascertain, there are only three things on the page that a right click will respond to. The page, links and objects (images). Text is ignored, as part of the page. An option is one of the multiple options that a right click posts for selection, and the effect that I refer to affects all three. However, 'oldcodger' seems to have provided the answer, in part. After trying a few changes in System Setting>application appearance>colours>colours, without apparent effect, I simply selected the default values and all is well. This simply has the effect of exchanging text and background colour, as is the sensible way of doing it. How the original values spontaneously changed, I've no idea, but it was certainly none of my doing.
