[SOLVED] New to Mageia - Need Broadcom wifi help please

Postby lend27 » Jul 11th, '16, 22:10

I finished the install and have internet via ethernet.
I am trying to configure my Broadcom wifi BCM4360.
Mageia find the card, it shows when I click on the network icon in system tray but it shows no device name.
When I click on it , it shows an error message ( Unable to find network interface for selected device. Using BCMA driver).

What are the steps to enable the wifi device?

Thanks!

Len

Please provide the output of the following commands:

Code: Select all
lspcidrake -v | grep -iE "wlan|wifi|wireless|net"
ps -ef | grep -v grep | grep -iE "net|wpa"

and, as root:
Code: Select all
ifconfig -a
rfkill list all
systemctl status network.service -a
journalctl -ab | grep -iE "fw|firmware|iwl|wifi|wire|80211"

I'm all set, thanks for your help. :)
I figured it out, I need to install "dkms-broadcom-wl".
Installed that in software center, rebooted, and all my networks show, and I connected successfully.
Cool!
Thanks!
