NSS problems since yesterdays updates in 6dev1

Postby squonk » Jun 8th, '16, 20:12

Hi,

since yesterdays updates I experience massive problems in Mageia 6dev1:
- All rpm related commands (rpm, urmpi etc.) fail with: Error: Failed to initialize NSS library, therefore no updates, no uninstall
- Firefox won't start: error initializing nss with a persistent database

If I search the logs there was an nss-update yesterday, lib64nss3-2:3.24.0-1.mga6.x86_64
That isn't in the repo anymore. Did it cause the problem? What to do about it?

many thanks
Christian

Was already discussed on the dev mailing list (which you should be following loosely if you run cauldron) including a workaround in the meantime until a fixed package is available from your mirror
See https://ml.mageia.org/wwsympa-wrapper.f ... 00170.html
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
