How Do I Install Gnome 3 Elegance Theme On Mageia

I recently downloaded Gnome 3.10.1, but when I logged out and logged back in it told me that I needed to install Gnome 3 Elegance Theme. When I downloaded task-gnome-minimal, I'd also checked the box for Elegance, I even downloaded it on it's own later, but it's still saying that it hasn't been installed. Does anyone know of a solution for this?

What tell you that it needs Gnome 3 Elegance Theme? Do you see this in the login screen, or where?

And as a hint, better use task-gnome, task-gnome-minimal isn't really supported that well.

I installed both task-gnome and task-gnome-minimal. When I log onto Mageia using Gnome 3, at the bottom of the screen a small black popup appears saying that I need to install Gnome 3 Elegance Theme.

I downloaded the attached package, but the same issue is occurring. Also I noticed this morning when I went onto my computer and brought it out of suspend, the desktop wall paper was all pixelated. I attached an image of it.

You should check if there's any elegance processes running, and maybe provide the output here as your normal user of

FWIW, I can reproduce, but you didn't read the message correctly. It mentions that the user theme extension is not installed.
This is also documented in the elegance-colors instructions, see

Also install the User Theme Extension for Gnome Shell
( https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/19/user-themes/ )

You need to visit that site in a browser which supports the gnome-shell plugin system (chrome/chromium doesn't support it, as they dropped support for NPAPI plugins)
so use e.g. firefox and then enable the plugin. Should also be possible to enable the extension by running the following command as your regular user in a terminal:

gnome-shell-extension-tool -e user-themes

Then you can run elegance-colors and you shouldn't get that message at the bottom for the missing user theme extension anymore.
You can then also run elegance-colors-prefs to change the preferences.

Ok so the popup isn't happening anymore. As for the other problem, when I bring the computer out of suspend the screen is pixelated and it stays that way until I either, set up my desktop wallpaper again, or restart the computer.
