[DONE]Searching file content - no indexing of text files

Postby delasol » Jul 11th, '15, 15:04

After update form Mageia 4 to 5 - searching files by content (text) doesn't show text files (*.txt). It shows only *.pdf, *.ods, *.odt, ect...

Is it possible to change it somehow?

Thanks in advance!

OK. got it.

"...Baloo doesn't index Plain/Text files without *.txt extension..."
Is it possible to change it somehow?
OR
How to automatically give a *.txt extension to 2372 files?
AND
How can I force Kwrite to give a *.txt extension automatically?

Regards
D.

You seem to quote thread or bug titles, seems to be a known error with baloo / KDE. Do you still need help to rename all your text files that do not have .txt as a suffix?
In case not, please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [DONE], thanks.
