Mageia 5 beta 3 booting hanging

Hello! I'm using latest updates in Mageia 5 beta 3. My PC is Asus X52DE.
When booting my pc stays over 1 minute on "Booting the kernel" message and than it displays that on the attached picture and than it continue booting.
For not oppening a new topic, one more bug is when i plug-in my headphones everything is ok, but when i unplug it - no sound at all.

If you boot an older kernel, is the behaviour the same? And with which kernel version does that problem occur?

The problem occurs with every kernel but it does not happen every time. It happens in.. lets say 90% of the cases.
One more is that the installation process of the distro takes 1h with the default KDE installation. Is it normal rpms to unpack so slow?
And one more.. there is some problem with the ATI proprietary drivers. The system hangs with them. Video: ati radeon hd 5470.

Hello! Today I updated to the latest kernel 3.19.1-desktop-2 but it's still the same. It stays for 1 min. and more at the "Booting the kernel." message while i'm hearing the vent is going louder (means the CPU probably loads to 100%) and than it displays the "rcu_sched" error.

AMD drop support for older cards in their proprietary drivers. The older drivers then become stale and no longer build with newer X environments. Older AMD cards are well supported by the open source radeon driver though.

For your sound problem you should check pulseaudio volume control settings to see which output is used by default. It has no way of knowing which is the desired output so sometimes will use hdmi output as default, for example, which may not be what you wish.

there have been a few kernel: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for bugs .... seconds in various kernels
and the rcu-stall can sometimes get called when that happens

for example , and not necessarily the problem you are seeing.

what would probably help is if you can interrupt the kernel boot and change the boot args so we can see some more info.

you do this by doing e for edit while in the boot menu, picking the line to edit and then appending it with some options.

debug would be the first i would try,

not sure how much of that would work, but it may give a bit more incite into the problem.

ps the sound issue i get that on my asus laptop also.

check your pulse audio output devices... the answer is there speakers verses headphone

Ok, I did that but where the kernel log goes? Everything passes too fast and i can't see anything on the screen..
