[root@localhost u3]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start
bash: /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd: No such file or directory

and there is NO such file

If there's no such file, why do you try to run that?
Cauldron is not for the faint of heart!
Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

In Mageia, systemd is now used to start the apache server. To start it manually, try:
Code: Select all
systemctl start httpd.service

See "man systemctl" for more info.

OR use the GUI - MCC / System / Manage Services

It was on tutorial page, possibly for an older version

This worked, tested on 127.0.0.1
