grub1 or grub2

Postby roelof » May 11th, '14, 20:35

Hello,

I have installed M4 on my second hard disk and installed the bootloader on /dev/sda which is the right disk.
After that I pointed Easybcd to the mbr of /dev/sda because I thought grub2 was used.

But as soon as I boot up M4 I see only a grub prompt.

So my question is does M4 use Grub2 or still Grub1 or another bootloader as a default.

Hello,

Mageia 4 still uses Grub Legacy (Grub1).

Either grub or grub2 can be installed by Mandriva during the install. Grub2 seems to be a work in progress, but most other distros seem to default to it.
