URPMI help

Postby toastyalex » Apr 8th, '14, 06:02

Hello all. I just installed Mageia after using Linux Mint for the past few years. I made a clean installation on this computer, formatting the hard drive ect ect. I did some updates, started configuring firefox for my liking. However when I went to install lm_sensors, Konsole told me that the urpmi "command not found"

I'm using a lenovo thinkpad x201.

Can someone help me? I will provide any information that you need.

probably you were not root? urpmi (install) and urpme (uninstall) need root privileges whereas the search functions urpmq and urmpf can be run with your user account.

You may want to take a look at the software management at the beginning:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Install_and_ ... _beginners
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Install_medi ... _beginners

Or the urpmi commands on the command line:
