This forum is dedicated to advanced help and support :
Ask here your questions about advanced usage of Mageia. For example you may post here all your questions about network and automated installs, complex server configurations, kernel tuning, creating your own Mageia mirrors, and all tasks likely to be touchy even for skilled users.

Hello,
I updated from Mandriva 2010.2 to Magiea without any problems and the distributiion looks very stable. However, I still have an annoying minor issue.
The shutdown option is disappaering from the menu option. I activated it again from the ooption Configure Your Desktop>System Administration>Login Screen>Shutdown I changed the "Allow Shutdown" Local to everybody but from time to time my option is set back to "Nobody".
Any idea.
Thanks in advance

Very welcome to the Mageia-forum tordjy!!!
Can you check if shutdown options are offered through:
System -> Settings -> Startup and Shutdown -> Session Management

Another check:
Mageia Control Center -> Boot -> Set up display manager -> Check KDM is selected (assuming you are using KDE for desktop-environment).
