installing additional software after installation with usb

Dear all,

I have installed beta through usb, everything seems fine, but after i tried to install some additonal software in mageia (virtual box etc.) i got the message "please insert the core medium", but when i inserted the usb with which i have done initial installation it doesnt recognize it. Is this normal?

Yes, as the USB stick is not mounted, and even if it is, it will probably habe issues recognising it, same with CD/DVD.
Just remove it and use online repositories: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Software_management
