Absolute Novice with Mageia software!

Postby ShadowSkill » Aug 9th, '13, 05:27

Hi my name is Jerry.
I have a friend who a few years back had set me up with this lap top I am currently using to type this e-mail with. It is originally a Toshiba. My friend who was familiar with Ubunto had all their programs on here and I loved and hated it at times, but I loved the fact of controlling my computer bottom line. My friend Roller sent me a link a while back for downloading Megeia2 and the installation with DrakX manual. He claimed that if I liked the Ubunto, I would really Megeia's software. So my question is how do I properly go about installing Megeia software, do I need the first version to do so, and I have no idea what the hell I am looking for if I have to do it from scratch because I do not have a huge vocabulary in this field to properly put apps together. This is what the basic system file says below. Can someone give recommendations for a true beginner like myself?

Hello,
Just download and install mageia3.

https://www.mageia.org/en/3/
A 64 bit or a 32 bit should work.
