hi there all of a sudden i cant access my toshiba usb3 external harddrive , everytime i try to read/write to it i get an error : could not write to /run/media/******/ExT 1 ******* is my name EXT 1 is harddrive i dont know why this started happening ive been using this drive forr months

Hi,

1/ is the HDD usable on another device?

2/ if yes to above, HDD and directory structure is probably ok, so, does MCC disk management list it as a device?
also, have you tried a different usb port?

What is the file system on the drive?
If Mageia sees the file system as corrupt it will be mounted as read only or not at all.

hello there well i tried it on a windows machine , and decided to check it and then reformat it , now it works on my mageia machine . dont know what happened , but its working for now

I have segregate usb external 2.5' hard disk and usb pen drive. I want to install owncloud on pendrive and move 'some folders' to external hard disk and link to owncloud structure.
