What broadcom device do you have? What happens if you open MCC -> Hardware -> Browse and configure hardware - does it want to install any broadcom related packages? What DE are you using? Gnome? KDE? Something else?

hello thank you for the reply and help...it's a Broadcom BCM 43XX and im using KDE..usually when i go to MCC -> Hardware -> Browse that usually works but it only ask for 1 package now but after it installs and i reboot it still has no wifi it used to grab like 2 packages or something wifi-tools and broadcom-wl or something like that....
even though its a bug from mageia 2 after you go into hardware and it ask to install broadcom-ssb-config ..then you go into network manager it doe's this (as reported in the bug).. Steps to Reproduce: 1.open the Network Manager and the system install the required software (dkms, etc) 2.The network manager reports: 3.Unable to find network interface for selected device (using wl driver)
i got it working with live cd i unchecked "remove unused hardware" clicked advance to see exactly what files it wanted to remove and it was removing files needed for broadcom..thank you all for helping me out...
