how to install AR8161 driver

just installed Mageia2 and my network card, Atheros AR8161 remains uninstalled...how do I go about installing the required driver ?

Make sure that you have enabled the non-free and tainted media sources, then set up the card via the Mageia Control Center.

If that doesn't work, you can download the required driver's source code her here. Then configure, build/compile and install.

Hi,

I have the same EthernetCard.
You can download the kernel-desktop-3.4.24 from core-updates medias ( ftp://distrib-coffee.ipsl.jussieu.fr/pu ... x86_64.rpm ).

This driver is included in the kernel since the version 3.4.15 (I ask to tmb to add this driver into kernel-desktop)
