I followed the wiki to change my sources to cauldron and after running urpmi --auto-update --auto
I get the following:
Code: Select all
[root@localhost ~]# urpmi --auto-update --auto
medium "Core Release" is up-to-date
medium "Core Updates" is up-to-date
medium "Core 32bit Release" is up-to-date

Wouldn't it be easier to upgrade via Mageia3 alpha 3?
for windows problems reboot; for linux problems be root

Upgrading from Mageia2 to Mageia3 is planed but the release notes for Alpha3 suggest that UsrMove is still an issue.

Yes,Ken, you're right, but it is an option and should be tested on a broader base than QA can do.So give it a try.

I love a challenge so I gave it a try.
A fresh install from the Mageia2 Dual CD upgraded to Mageia3 alpha 3 using the install DVD worked.
I did have the usual ATI propitiatory driver problem on reboot but that has nothing to do with UsrMove.
