Update problems with Mageia

Hi again folks;

Many of the machines on which I installed Mageia had a problem in the update that came out round the 23d of Augost. During the update the computer would hang and the only way to restore it is to hard rebbot. The update I am talking about is the one that contained the Kernel update but I am not sure which package causes this problem.

Another problem is with the new Firefox update!! One problem I found is that when I download something from Internet, I cannot create a folder to save it therein. The download dialog appears, I click create a folder then I rapidly seems to create the folder and cancels the creation. So I can only download to existing folders.!

Any suggestion?

The latest kernel update had some problem,
here a possible solution if you have an nvidia card

is this happening on all your machines?
I never heard of this problem before, and FF works well for me.
Are you sure your keyboard haven't the ESC key pressed?

As for the nVidia, not all the computers have it, some are Intel Graphics based.

The firefox problem is confirmed on on computer for now, the rest are clients and friends so I don't know. On mine I have this problem. The keyboard works fine, ESC is not pressed.

I'll try checking other computers.
