lib64dvdcss stiil cant play DVDs

Mageia 2 KDE 64

I setup tainted repos, installed VLC tainted, lib64dvdcss-devel and lib64dvdcss2 also show installed, tried testing with an older DVD UltruViolet circa 2006.
VLC nor Dragon player will work, with VLC I got a warning that I needed libdvdcss (not lib64dvdcss) is ther a problem with VLC and lib64dvdcss2.
I have Mint 64 both gnome2 11 and KDE 13 and the DVD plays fine on both of them, this is not a dig at Mageia 2 just a little info to compare.
I really like Mageia 2 KDE, but the first thing I try to do turns out to be a problem, havent tried to setup handbrake yet, Im starting to worry a little.

Hi again isadora,
I was there already my main problem isn't Hanbrake, I cant play a store bought DVD that is over 6 years old, the lib64dvdcss2 & lib64dvdcss-devel are installed, I have searched the forums and googled for a fix and have come up empty, so im back bugging you again, any other suggestions?

Ouch, i guess you have to wait for the more experienced members.

Anyhow, just one shot:
When opening the DVD in VLC try:
Media -> Open disc... -> and select: "No disc menus" (to disable disc menus)

can you show the exact error message?

would be also useful to understand why it asks for 32bit packages,
