Stop shutting off monitor

How do I get Mageia to quit shutting off my monitor? I set the screen saver to come on but the monitor keeps shutting down after a while. Is there a way to stop this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

if you are using KDE:
systemsetting->Energy Saving settings -> untick Screen energy saving

It was un ticked but now I ticked it and set it to 360 minutes to see how that will work. I know in Mandriva 2010.2 I had to go into some file and change something in there to spot this problem, but I can't remember what file or what I had to change. But I want to thank you for your help.

if it doesn't help you maybe should disable DPMS for the monitor in xorg.conf.
