I don't need support-Just want to thank a few folks

Here wizards, magicians, sorcerers and everybody can rest a bit and talk about anything they like.

Just remember to respect the rules.

Short story. Mandrake. Conectiva. = Mandriva.=?
Mageia=Wonderful operating system for those willing to learn it and the reason for Windows 8 only costing $39.99.

I always comment on my "STATEMENTS", how nice it is to have Mandrake back even though it is called Mageia. There are some great minds working on this to make all information free and insure the free use of your computer without the limitations of the people who want to confine you. This is my 4th Of July Salute!

There are many people who speak different languages so patience is a must. But, there are many countries and peoples not shooting at each other over profit. I think that is important.

One more note....I'd like to think I have a lot to do with it...But I don't. These people are so far ahead of me it should tell you how far behind you are.

Topic moved by moderator.

So yankee495, i hope you agree on the move over to "The Wizards Lair". :)

You know me running my big mouth. I've listed my desktop as Mageia2 and it is not yet. My wife, yes, it is her fault. She has full use of the desktop, her laptop, my laptop and two Playbooks and she came walking out of the other room the other day saying that is a nice computer!

I said, well I am glad you noticed...finally..........got me in trouble.......

It is X4 PII@4Ghz running Mandriva 2010.1&2

It is sweet...the reason I have not put Mageia on it. It runs so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PII is not Pentium II, it is Phenom II and it flat rocks. Never fails. Check my posts here...they are all related to making Mageia run on my laptop.

I had 2007 and put 2008 on the kids computers and they said put us on 2007! 2009 was a step. Didn't like 2011.

See post about 2011.

If I had the ability that you people do I'd own the world. I know it ain't about profit. That is what amazes my friends, and apparently my wife. I've only been married to her two years and she don't know nothing about FTA or building your own computer and Linux of any breed.

I have explained to her why I am where I am today with all the difficulties and that I have files from 1988. In 1988 she didn't know what a computer was. I was a computer salesman in a small town and it was tough to make any money and if you look I think I said I wish I had access to Unix, Linux, or any other advanced OS at the time.

It is just a long story and I'd love to see children have the chance to experience the love of learning and that a bug is your friend.

A friend teaches you...so a bug could be your friend.

Anyway, thanks to you good people who are ahead of me and are now doing this just because you want to build it. If I sound all mushy, talk to my wife! She will ask why? But I try to explain. Why? Because we can and people do. Why? Because we can and people do. Why? ok, got it...but I am not sure she understands.

I will donate, ain't broke but I don't want to spread the message that you have to donate. But I think the message should be spread how talented you people are and a $1 would push where some might not like it.

I got a couple of bucks, and you have the worlds attention. #2 on distro watch, which could go in the toliet, but I don't think so.

I am a hard core Mandrake user who taught others and we didn't whine, it just worked.

I commend you highly...and I know that is not what you were working for...But it sure made me feel good when my wife said that it a NICE computer...she never seen one like that....I owe it to you.

Sorry. I should've caught that myself. It was not a request for support. Only a thank you.

We're having a heat wave over here...110 yesterday and today 99. I am a few feet from the killer tornado that was seen world wide, Joplin Missouri. We're...ok.

isadora,

You are strict. Do you need someone to talk to?

No really, sorry. I'm having a pretty good day and just over looked that I should put it in the....

I always come here just in case so I might miss the others a bit.

We love ya and Dok and don't even know who you are! I guess I went the longway around and maybe someday I'll tell ya who I am.
