KTorrent often timesout tracker connection

I have KTorrent with different torrents in it. Different trackers are used, and they are all respectable resources, so no issue expected on their side. Although, my KTorrent very often loses connection to those trackers and shows status as "Error: Timeout connecting tracker..."
Updating the tracker information is a manual cure. But that's not right, is it?

Has anyone experienced similar problem?

Did you forward all needed ports properly in the mageia firewall and in your router?
Bittorrent working perfectly here with transmission, even encrypted.

I was not using Transmission, but KTorrent.
The problem's gone after the upgrade to Mageia 2.

Ok, i was just posting a possible alternative, and told that it works.
