[SOLVED] HP USB Headset does not work

[SOLVED] HP USB Headset does not work

Postby linuxero » Jun 17th, '12, 17:28

Hi Mageians;

The same problem is still present in Mageia 2 x64. I have a fresh installation and I was hoping that my HP USB Headset would work just fine, the mic, however, would never work. The system detects it fine, pavu and the mixer tray icon allow me to choose the HP USB Headset mic as my capture source, but still I cannot record anything using it.

Skype is not able to use it, google talk neither.

The strange thing is that it works fine on Mandriva and other distros.

I have a KDE installation so whenever I try volume control it complains that gnome-volume-control is needed; which i tried to search and install to no hope..

Is there any output that I should post? Any idea..?

Thanks
