Yeah it's build to cauldron but you need to manualy write grub2 to your hdd mbr (master boot record),there is /usr/share/doc/grub2 document file to read how to use it,it can be unstable and you can't configure it from control center yet,i hope this will help you to get started.

I shudder at the possibility of adopting GRUB2 in Mageia 3 as standard without being totally stable, functional and configurable by the MCC.
