Flash player not working

Postby nigelc » Apr 29th, '12, 10:24

Hello,
I had a system with Mageia 1 xcfe4 desktop. After some updates the flash player stopped working.
So I re-installed the system with gnome, but still no go. Using firefox it just puts a blank box where the video should go.
Using chrominum in the middle of the box it says missing plugin.

rpm -qa |grep flash
flash-player-plugin-11.2.202.233-1.mga1.nonfree

I have another gnome system that is ok.

cheers

Please first read the MAQeia about flash-player: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=880
and please give more information, like which browser version, link to an example video to reproduce,
list of other addons which could maybe interfere and so on.

Or maybe it's some kind of shockwave animation where you need the adobe shockwave player, and not flash?

Hello,
I copied the rpm file from the the var/lib directory in the working machine to the bad machine and it still does not work.
It is ok with flash version 10, but not 11. :(

No, it's not. Or it may be like that on your system, which clearly displays something is not working correctly.
But until you provide the requested information i can't really help you.

Searching with google other people had problems.
I have it working with an older version.
An update might fix it.
