It doesn't I've just put a full set of re-manufactured cartridges in my Epson D 92 and nothing.
Now I've assembled a GA 320M-H AMD Chip and an ASUS Geforce GT 710

Could you please give more information? Which Mageia version, what did you try to print, from what application, what does the printer say, are you able to print a test page from cups web frontend http://127.0.0.1:631/ ?

V1, as I said nothing, I opened Root to print test page nothing happened. it used to happen with Mandriva but as a re-install cured it and as KDE isn't on the Mageia dual I better find the cause.

And you better not try to print as root, try as normal user.

I don't print normally as root, if you try to print from an app you get an error saying printer turned off. Now the power light is flashing and I've got a colour print job I didn't call for( I change RBG to grey-scale in print options).

[SOLVED](must look for or download the manual) logged on as root and disabled queued jobs now it's sitting quiet waiting just showing the power light(how there was 5or6 Test pages I'll never know).
