[SOLVED] QT Networking Package

Postby linuxero » Mar 7th, '12, 18:54

Hi guys;

This is quite trivial, but I am trying to make a qt networking programme. The problem is that I am missing some header files like QTcpSocket! Is there a special package I should install or is it something else?

Thanks

Hello,
If you want to develop with Qt, you should install the devel package: lib64qt4-devel in 64 bits, and libqt4-devel in 32 bits. In it, you will find all the headers that you need. For instance in your case, it contains the ‎/usr/lib/qt4/include/QtNetwork/QTcpSocket header file.

Thank you..I was checking that and I already have it installed. Still the error says file not found QTcpSocket! I have it there..!

Could it be some kind of path problem!!

Solved..

Thank you;

It was an include path problem..strange..

How? I asked once and was told to ask some admin.! There should be a better way so that the one who creates a thread can mark it when solved!

You can just hit the "Edit"-button of your initial message, and edit the topic-title. ;)

In former times editing your own thread was restricted to a short time span. This restriction was undone and you can edit the first post of the thread and change the subject line.

Or we could have viewtopic.php?f=18&t=537 which would save time
for supporters and moderators. But oh my, remembers me strangely about some weird guy and some windmills :|

I'll try to stick to that, but if I can help implementing this functionality I'll be pleased to be of use..don't blame my time-frame though :(
