As of now, there exist 2 tools for management of user's passwords and some other details such as user login icon, etc. One of the tools is called kdepasswd (available via System Settings) and it is a part of KDE, the other tool is a part of MCC.
I can only change my user login icon via kdepasswd, and any icon changes via User Settings in MCC are ignored. There is an option to remove kdepasswd package in order to leave MCC to manage user passwords and login icons alone. But in that case I can't change the login user icon either - it is always the last one set in kdepasswd before its removal. Maybe it is kept somewhere in cache and called every boot regardless of the MCC settings...
Do you think it may be helped somehow? I mean, I'd like to keep MCC only and make it be able to change user login icon.
Login user icons managed from MCC are located in /usr/share/mga/faces/.
Login user icons managed by kdepassw are located in /usr/share/apps/kdm/pics/users.
Thank you.
