Maybe a silly question as I'm running a 32bit system but is wine installed?

I'm not sure what you mean by PM but it would appear that wine is not installed. Installing wine through Add & Remove Software should pull in wine32 as well as a few other things so installing wine32 separately would not be needed.

Maybe what you want is wine32. wine64 only "emulates" Windows XP 64bit.

As I said I don't use 64bit Mageia but looking through the 64bit repositories there is no wine or wine32.

Perhaps he needs to add 32bit repositories?

Exactly. But if you add your repositories via Mageia tools, then 32bit repositories are added by default ...

Thanks for the help but because I can't get Mageia to talk to my Telsta prepaid mobile broadband usb stick I'm trying to add software manually tried to find Linux drivers for it but no good tried adding 32 DvD to repository list but it didn't want to play, hence thought maybe wine might talk to it

Nope, wine is not good for device driver usage.
