Mageia Alpha 2 issues. (lots of them)

1st I installed from the 64 bit live cd, but after the install process (after setting up my username and root password) it still said "live" as the username. It allowed me to log into the "live" account without the installation media. I figured a reboot would fix the problem but it did not. The log on screen never came back up. So I reinstalled with the live iso again and the exact same thing happened. I decide to try the DVD iso. The installation works correctly but it felt sluggish and when I installed other desktop environments they wouldnt show on the log on screen. So I go into MCC and into boot and set the Desktop Environment I installed to default. After a reboot it crashed. Am I missing something? I had absolutely no real issues with Mageia Alpha 1 but Alpha 2 is being a pain for me. Is anyone else experiencing weird issues or maybe am I just having bad luck or am I missing something?

Maybe just use one of the many already existing threads about Alpha 2?
I see no point in adding yet another, because that way no bug will either get reported nor fixed.

this isn't exactly a bug I expect to be missed. I was mainly looking to see if I did anything wrong or if a work around existed. Don't be so snippy about everything. I know you are just doing what you feel is best but I am just looking for some information. If this is a general issue with people I can 100% guarantee it will be reported.

Sorry, i'm not snippy, just pragmatic. Having dozens of different threads from dozens of different forum members about the same topic just duplicates information and is really bad for clarity, especially if there are already collective threads about that topic.

I agree, I will search better in the future. I honestly hadn't noticed any threads but I also hadn't really looked either

The KDE Live Alpha 2 cd works perfectly. Its the Gnome Live cd that seems to have an issue (atleast in my case)

Maybe the errata entry about the gnome live cd applies to your situation?
