Nicotine plus

I'm trying to install Nicotine plus. So far I have downloaded an rpm for nicotine and have all the dependencies but one installed. Mageia won't install nicotine unless all the dependencies are met. The last dependency is python-geoip, an rpm of which I have downloaded. I am just not sure where to install it. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Open up Konqueror (inside the Internet directory) and set the URL to point to "~" or the location where the RPM is located on your computer.
Double-click the RPM.

Thanks. I did as you suggested and had no problem. However, when I tried to install nicotine I got the message:

The following package has bad signature:
/home/jonmetric/Downloads/nicotine-1.2.16-3-mib2011.0.i686.rpm: Invalid signature (NOT OK (no key): /home/jonmetric/Downloads/nicotine-1.2.16-3-mib2011.0.i686.rpm: Header V4 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 6a1e6442: NOKEY)

Now, I downloaded the package from pkgs.org. There was no specific package for Mageia, so I downloaded the package for Mandriva thinking it would work. I suspect this is my problem.

Does anyone know of a specific package for Mageia, or a package for another distribution that would work with Mageia?

That package would work, it's just that RPM complains that the package is not signed (because you can't verify by whom the package was signed if it's not)
You can install it in a terminal as root via

rpm -Uhv --no-signature /home/jonmetric/Downloads/nicotine-1.2.16-3-mib2011.0.i686.rpm

In general if you want to see a package added to Mageia you should file a package request at https://bugs.mageia.org/enter_bug.cgi?p ... mat=guided
just select "New RPM package request" as Component.
