[SOLVED] DVD Creation from ISO

Mageia 2 64 Bit KDE - added tainted and installed DeVeDe, and most every codec I normally use.

Here is the problem - I make ISO images frm Video files and burn them with K3B.

In Mageia there are no apparant errors when I create the ISO and no apparant errors when I burn the DVD.

The resulting DVD however does not play and appears as blank when it loads. The burn section is visible on inspection.

The same problem with 3 other brands of DVD media. On Fedora the exact same sequence works every time and the DVD's are fine.

Any suggestions as to why K3B on Mageia fails?

Solved the problem. When DeVeDe closes on Fedora and starts the burn process it does not launch K3B but burns directly using cdrecord I suspect.
On Mageia when DeVeDe closes K3B opens and somehow does not finalize the disk. By closing DeVeDe before allowing the automatic burning and launching K3B later to burn the iso image everything works fine.

Now I need to figure out how to alter the DeVeDe settings on Mageia to work the same way as on Fedora.

Well, I've burned three useless disks so far. I am not sure if the iso image left from the previous try yesterday was totally complete, because today not rerunning DeVeDe but going straight into k3b and reburning it had the same error. I hate burning disks for nothing.

Since I am not a Linux expert, I guess I will switch to the Windows partition to see what I can do.
