Mit HP OfficeJet 6500 kein Faxversand aus Mageia aus möglich

Hallo.

habe den HP OfficeJet 6500, und wenn ich aus Mageia ein Fax versenden möchte wird das Dokument in die Druckerwarteschlange des Fax geschickt und da steht das Dokument dann als ausführend drin und es passiert aber nichts mehr. Wenn ich ausdrucken möchte wird ganz normal und ohne Probleme gedruckt. Die Druckereinstellungen sind bei beiden gleich, bis auf das ich in den Druckeroptionen beim Fax S/W und beim Drucker Farbe eingestellt habe.

Hat einer eine Idee oder Erfahrung warum ich nicht Faxen kann? Am Gerät und aus WinXP kann ich ohne Probleme faxen.

Mal ins Blaue geschossen, hast Du alle mageia hplip Pakete installiert und danach cups korrekt eingerichtet ?
Bei meinem Brother funktioniert das via cups wie es bei HP ist weiß ich leider nicht.

Nein, ist das gleiche Ergebnis, wie wenn ich aus OO oder Okular faxen möchte.

Wenn ich bei Software verwalten im MCC cups als Suchbegriff eingebe sind 6 Ergebnisse als installiert markiert und ein spezieller HP-Cups, wie bei anderen Herstellern, ist nicht dabei, in der gesamten Liste

PS: den HP-oll in one-Treiber aus den Quellen habe ich installiert.
PPS: python-cups - Python bindings for the CUPS API​ ist auch installiert, da in doctor´s kopiertem Text was von Python steht.

Macht das Fax auch nichts, der Auftrag steht als "Ausführend" in der Druckerwarteschlange und es passiert nichts mehr.

Ich habe mal die Attribute des Auftrags in der Warteschlange abfotografiert, vieleicht kannst da was mit anfangen?

Die Details des Auftrags bringen nicht viel, und mir schon gar nicht, da ich keine bekannte funktionierende Konfiguration
habe, mit der ich das vergleichen kann. Habe weder einen Drucker noch will ich damit Faxen machen.
Aber die /var/log/cups/error_log wäre evtl. ganz interessant.

@dieter: Speichert cups so eine "fax queue" auch in der /etc/cups/printers.conf ab? Wie sollte die aussehen, bzw. was muss man da bei der Einrichting beachten?

Ja ich habe den HP Device Manager gestartet dann habe ich ich auf das grüne Kreuz geklickt, wo Setup Device kommt wenn man mit der Maus drüber geht, habe mein Root-Passwort eingegeben und mit weiter durchgeklickt, da schon alles richtig eingestellt war. Nun habe ich sowohl vom Drucker, wie auch vom Fax 2 Treiber auf meinem System.

Also auch bloß eine Drucker-Queue, bzw. würde man da ja Äpfel und Birnen vergleichen.

mein Brother MFC-260 wollte auch nicht, b.z.w. so wie er sollte. Unter Magenia 1 wurde links am Rand gedruckt und oben ca. 3 cm abgeschnitten, bei Mageia 2 war das Problem nur noch oben.

Da es unter Mandriva funktioniert, habe ich 3 Pfade mit den entsprechenden/möglichen Dateien einfach mit einer "externe Live-Linux Version" gesichert und herüber kopiert.
Zuerst wurde nichts erkannt und unter "Drucker einrichten" fragte Mageia2 höflich nach: "ob die alten Einstellungen übernommen werden sollte". Welche sagte Mageia2 nicht, aber ich hatte es bestätigt und nun druckt er so wie er soll.

Vielleicht ist dieses auch ein (unbequemer) Lösungsweg(1) für andere Fax- ... treiber/Einstellungen.
(1) Es wäre evtl. auch möglich gewesen das das ganze System abschmiert!

Die Druckertreiber von Brother waren exakt die gleichen, so das nur an den veränderten Cups/Installations Dateien unter Mageia etwas nicht ganz in Ordnung sein kann. Bei Bedarf kann ich die eingerichteten SteuerDateien zur Analyse einschicken.
Die Orginale von Cups "Mandriva 2010.2 und Mageia" liegen ja vor.

Zwar schon alt, aber noch ungelöst, deshalb hänge ich mich hier mal ran.
Selbes Problem mit Mageia 2 und einem HP 1415fn und HPLIP-3.12.4 version was installed..

Das Dokument wird ohne Abfrage einer Faxnummer in die Druckerwarteschlange geschoben und verbleibt dort.

Irgendwelche Lösungsansätze?

Also hp-logcapture gibt es bei mir nicht, aber hp-check (mit der Option -r, also die Entwicklerfunktionaltät wird nicht geprüft).
