[solved]Update problems

Postby Number3124 » Dec 22nd, '14, 05:39

Hi. I've recently upgraded to 4.1. For whatever reason, despite unchecking it in the control center, it seems that Mageia still thinks I'm using a CD-ROM core release as it always asks me to, "insert core release media," when I attempt to update the system. Any help getting my update sources configured would be appreciated.

You have to do some changes in Mageia Control Center
1. In MCC choose Software management - Configure media sources for install and updates
2. Choose Add
3. Unmark the two first lines (CD-rom release and CD-rom Nonfree Release)
4. Close MCC.
5. Open MCC and update.

I ended up getting an error.

Unable to add medium, errors reported:

...retrieving failed: aria2 failed: exited with 3
problem reading synthesis file of medium "Core 32bit Updates Testing (distrib123)"

In MCC - Software management - Configure media sources for install and updates unmark "Core 32bit Updates Testing (distrib123)"
My advice is to unmark every Testing and Debugging sources
